A little bit about Maria & Jesus

I’m a former teacher turned full-time business owner, wife, and stay-at-home mama. Our Nest Events was born from a desire to stay home with our first daughter and what started as a creative hobby making cake toppers, stadium cups, banners, and small party supplies quickly grew into something more. As orders started picking up, so did my passion and vision. We took a leap of faith and dove all in. Through countless tutorials, classes, and lots of trial and error, I taught myself everything from balloon design to Photoshop because I believe our clients deserve the very best in both service and quality. Now, here we are helping you celebrate life’s special moments with balloons, backdrops, and personalized styling! I’m beyond grateful to do what I love, stay home with our girls, and run this business side by side with my husband. It’s truly a win-win.

Jesus is a full-time firefighter, proud girl dad, and the other half of Our Nest Events. He’s the muscle behind the builds crafting custom props, backdrops, and doing all the heavy lifting (plus a little balloon work too!). Fun fact: when we started, he didn’t even know how to tie a balloon and now he’s basically a pro. There’s nothing this man can’t do! And if you follow us on social media, you probably already know he’s the one everyone loves. Whether he’s building something amazing or just keeping it real behind the scenes, he’s definitely a fan favorite.
